Kemi Badenoch urged Scots to back Conservatives to block SNP majority, despite polling showing ties with Lib Dems.
Kemi Badenoch, Conservative Party leader, told Scottish Tory delegates at a conference in Edinburgh that the party can "win again" despite recent polling placing it in joint fourth with the Liberal Democrats.
Speaking ahead of the May election, she called for a renewal of the party rooted in enduring principles and a plan to restore economic prosperity, urging voters to support the Scottish Conservatives to block an SNP majority.
She praised Scottish leader Russell Findlay as a capable and principled figure.
In response, Scottish Labour’s Jackie Baillie dismissed the Tories as a fading force, while SNP MSP Jackie Dunbar criticized Badenoch’s message as out of touch, highlighting the SNP’s focus on healthcare, rail fare freezes, and cost-of-living support under First Minister John Swinney.
Kemi Badenoch instó a los escoceses a respaldar a los conservadores para bloquear la mayoría del SNP, a pesar de que las encuestas muestran vínculos con los Lib Dem.
