Fifteen Missouri towns earned 2026 Blue Shield status for public safety, unlocking up to $50,000 in state grants.
Fifteen Missouri communities, including Arnold, Moberly, and Dexter, have been named 2026 Blue Shield Communities for their ongoing efforts in public safety, law enforcement support, and community partnerships.
The designation, now in its second year, makes them eligible for up to $50,000 in state grants for equipment and training, pending legislative approval of a $10 million FY 2027 fund.
All 15 communities previously held the status in 2025.
Applications remain open, to be submitted through a local official and chief law enforcement officer, with additional designations to be announced weekly.
