Saxena inaugurated the Palaash Mahotsav 2026 at the Asita floodplain near ITO, marking the start of a citywide celebration promoting sustainable urban development and green spaces.
The two-day festival, part of the DDA’s Green Expo 2026, featured floral displays, native plant exhibits, cultural performances, artisan stalls, and interactive workshops across multiple locations including Baansera, Ashoka Garden, Lala Hardayal Park, and Smriti Van.
The event highlighted the transformation of degraded land into vibrant public spaces, emphasized environmental stewardship, and promoted eco-friendly mobility with a new cycle track.
Officials stressed the importance of public participation in building a cleaner, greener Delhi.
