Canadian freestyle skier Brendan Mackay won bronze in the men’s halfpipe at the 2026 Winter Olympics, scoring 91.00 on his final run in Milan Cortina.
He finished behind gold medalist Alex Ferreira of the U.S. and silver medalist Henry Sildaru of Estonia.
The result marked Canada’s 17th medal of the Games and its first in the event since 2014.
Canada also advanced to the hockey gold medal game after a late comeback against Finland and earned a bronze in women’s short-track speed skating.
The men’s halfpipe final was held on Friday after being moved due to snow, with Mackay leading qualifying earlier that day.
