Adani Ports, through its subsidiary Adani Gangavaram Port Limited, has signed a strategic MoU with India’s NMDC and Brazil’s Vale during President Lula da Silva’s visit to India, aiming to develop an iron ore blending facility and a dedicated SEZ at Gangavaram Port.
The project will expand the port’s capacity to 75 million metric tons annually, enable handling of Valemax vessels up to 400,000 metric tons, and include fully mechanized berthing, end-to-end yard management, and advanced cargo systems.
The initiative seeks to enhance India’s global competitiveness in iron ore exports, strengthen supply chains, and support port-led industrial growth.
