A February 13 drive-by shooting in Norristown, Pennsylvania, led to the arrest of two men, Efran Flores-Rodriguez, 24, and Fernando Meza-Ramirez, 42, both believed to be in the country illegally, on charges related to rival sex trafficking operations between New York City and Norristown.
Police say both men transported women from New York for prostitution, with one victim reporting she worked for both, shuttled between locations and keeping half her earnings.
The shooting, which injured Meza-Ramirez, exposed a broader network involving organized trafficking across state lines.
Both men were denied bail and remain in Montgomery County custody.
