Queen’s 1974 album *Queen II* is being reissued on March 27, 2026, as a deluxe five-CD Collector’s Edition box set.
It features a newly remixed and remastered version of the original album, along with previously unreleased session recordings, demos, BBC radio performances from 1973 and 1974, live tracks from 1974 and 1975 concerts, alternate takes, backing tracks, and rare versions of songs like “Seven Seas of Rhye” and “The March of the Black Queen.” The reissue highlights the band’s innovative use of multitracking and studio experimentation during a pivotal creative phase.
The new mix, overseen by Justin Shirley-Smith and Joshua J Macrae, aims to enhance clarity and reveal the original recordings’ depth without adding new elements.
The project is executive produced by Brian May and Roger Taylor, who reflect on the album as a breakthrough in shaping Queen’s signature sound.
