Newfoundland and Labrador is reclaiming Crown land reserved for three wind and hydrogen projects due to over $34 million in unpaid fees and stalled progress, while renewing land rights for two other companies that have paid. The government, which charged 3.5% of land value every three months, has collected $20.1 million of $54.6 million billed as of February 9. The move, tied to inactivity and noncompliance, is not linked to CFFI Ventures’ bankruptcy. The province remains open to future investment.
