The five-year initiative, part of the Shared Island Initiative, aims to reduce TB prevalence through coordinated testing, biosecurity training, and wildlife research.
Agriculture Ministers Martin Heydon and Andrew Muir emphasized collaboration, citing the region’s shared epidemiological risks.
The effort comes amid rising TB cases, with over 40,000 detected in 2025 alone, and follows Ireland’s doubling of its TB eradication budget to €170 million.
