Ghana's Ministry of Education has warned that attacks on teachers will face severe legal consequences, following a rise in violent incidents nationwide. Deputy Minister Dr. Clement Apaak emphasized that perpetrators, including students, will be prosecuted under Ghanaian law. Recent cases include students convicted and fined for assaulting a tutor, and suspects arrested in connection with a stabbing and alleged sexual assault during a sports event. Two students and an accomplice have been arraigned over a separate teacher attack and remanded in custody. The government reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy, pledging collaboration with law enforcement to protect educators.
