An Egyptian-Chinese team has discovered a limestone structure at Tel Aziz near Giza, believed to be part of a temple built during the 26th Dynasty (664–525 BC) under King Apries.
The find, made by Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities and researchers from Peking University and Shandong Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, adds to earlier discoveries at the site linked to ancient Memphis.
The structure, along with recovered pottery, glass vessels, and copper coins, offers new insights into religious life and daily activities in the region over 2,500 years ago.
