Dubai’s marine club wins global innovation awards for boat tech and secures Formula 1 and XCAT world titles.
The Dubai International Marine Club has won three innovation accreditations from the Global Innovation Institute for advances in high-speed racing boats, including an escape hatch, engine mount, and seat suspension systems.
The recognition highlights the UAE’s rising role in marine engineering, with the club’s locally built Victory boats gaining global acclaim.
The awards were presented to DIMC leaders by GInI’s regional representative, with officials from Ruad Consulting in attendance.
The club’s success coincided with major sporting achievements: Team Abu Dhabi Victory claimed its first Formula 1 World Championship, winning both the teams’ and drivers’ titles, with Shaun Torrente as champion.
The team also reclaimed the XCAT World Championship at the Dubai Grand Prix, with Emirati drivers Salem Al Adaidi and Issa Al Ali winning on the Victory 7.
The team has accumulated 28 world titles and numerous victories, reflecting sustained excellence in international competition.
