A 48-year-old Bartlesville man, David Rogers Jr., faces new felony charges for allegedly failing to register as a sex offender and living within 2,000 feet of a school, according to local police.
He is accused of not checking in with authorities for 90 days and failing to confirm his residence, violations of state law.
Rogers, previously convicted in 2009 for lewd molestation, is scheduled for a March 6 court appearance with a $50,000 bond.
In a separate case, 36-year-old Wendell Ray Short Jr. was sentenced to eight months in federal prison and five years of supervised release for failing to register after moving to Oklahoma from Texas, where he was convicted in 2016 of indecency with a child.
