Audi has launched the first plug-in hybrid RS5, available as a sedan or Avant, combining a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 with an electric motor for 470kW and 825Nm, enabling 0-100km/h in 3.6 seconds and over 80km of electric range. The car features advanced quattro all-wheel drive with rear torque vectoring, redesigned suspension, and a 25.9kWh battery charged via 11kW AC, taking 2.5 hours. Weighing around 2,355–2,370kg, it offers improved handling despite increased mass, reduced rear boot space, and a starting price of €106,200–€107,850 in Germany, with U.S. and Australian launches expected later in 2026.
