Wisconsin is investing $3.5 million in the Ignite Wisconsin initiative to boost startups, with $1 million going to Northeast Wisconsin to support entrepreneurship through a consortium led by New North, Inc.
The funding will provide accelerator training, pre-seed bootcamps, equity investments, and other resources to support 21 startups and 42 participants over one year, aiming to create 46 jobs and generate $3.4 million in revenue.
A separate grant supports the Wisconsin Frontier Technology Consortium, which will launch a platform to advance innovation in AI, robotics, quantum computing, and other emerging fields, including a lab, accelerator, and technical assistance fund, running from March 2026 to May 2028.
