Supreme Court to hear Shami’s wife’s plea to shift matrimonial case from Kolkata to Delhi due to child’s education and financial hardship.
The Supreme Court has notified cricketer Mohammed Shami in response to his wife Hasin Jahan’s petition seeking to transfer their matrimonial cases, including a domestic violence complaint and maintenance claim, from West Bengal to Delhi.
Jahan argues that relocating to Delhi for their daughter’s education and well-being makes it impractical to attend court in Kolkata, and she lacks independent income, being solely responsible for the child.
The court, with Justices Manoj Misra and Manmohan, has scheduled further hearings in four weeks.
The case stems from a 2018 FIR alleging abuse, and a 2015 Calcutta High Court order requiring Shami to pay ₹1.5 lakh monthly in maintenance.
El Tribunal Supremo escuchará la petición de la esposa de Shami para trasladar el caso matrimonial de Calcuta a Delhi debido a la educación de los hijos y las dificultades económicas.
