Robert Carlyle joins Line of Duty Season 7 as a tough marksman whose boss is accused of misconduct.

Robert Carlyle has joined season seven of Line of Duty as Detective Constable Shaun Massie, a Tactical Operations marksman drawn into a major misconduct investigation. Returning stars Martin Compston, Vicky McClure, and Adrian Dunbar will reprise their roles. Filming begins in spring 2026, with the new season expected to air in 2027.
