Queen Camilla visited the Vintners’ Company, celebrating its history and her wine heritage.
Queen Camilla, visiting the Vintners’ Company headquarters in London, said her love of wine is “in my blood,” tracing it to her childhood with her father, a wine merchant, and early experiences in Bordeaux.
Speaking at a reception, she praised the company’s historic role in the global wine trade, expressed interest in attending Swan Upping, and received a 2016 Pauillac and a first edition of a wine book by her grandfather.
She wore a green velvet gown, admired the 1672-era hall, and was greeted with five cheers—a tradition dating to 1363.
The visit marked her return since 2017, when she became a liveryman.
The Vintners’ Company, founded in 1363, remains a key institution supporting the wine industry and charitable causes.
