Legislative Council Opposition Leader Botsa Satyanarayana accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of exploiting the Tirumala laddu controversy for political gain, alleging a ghee price hike from Rs 320 to Rs 700 per kg through a tender awarded to Indapur Dairy, which he claims is linked to Naidu’s "heritage company."
He dismissed claims of animal fat in the laddu as baseless, citing a Supreme Court-monitored CBI-SIT report finding no adulteration.
Botsa criticized the state budget as lacking real benefits for farmers, youth, and the unemployed, accusing the government of using the laddu issue to divert attention from unfulfilled promises and poor governance.
He demanded a transparent public debate on procurement practices and urged the BJP to clarify its stance.
