The Ontario government is allocating $167,459 through the EASE grant program to improve accessibility in Augusta Township, Brockville, and Edwardsburgh Cardinal Township.
Funds will support projects including replacing wooden ramps with steel ones, installing automatic doors, adding adaptable seating and hearing loops, and building inclusive outdoor fitness stations and paved pathways.
The goal is to reduce barriers for seniors, people with disabilities, and those with mobility challenges, promoting greater community inclusion.
The EASE program provides up to $60,000 per project to municipalities, non-profits, and Indigenous communities.
