Jim Irsay’s 350-piece pop culture memorabilia collection, including iconic guitars from The Beatles, Lennon, Cobain, and others, auctions Feb. 2026 at Christie’s.
A collection of iconic entertainment memorabilia owned by Jim Irsay, former Indianapolis Colts owner, is set for auction by Christie’s in February 2026, featuring around 350 items including approximately 200 guitars.
Highlights include a prototype Vox Kensington guitar used by The Beatles, John Lennon’s 1963 Gretsch Chet Atkins 6120 and “Rose-Morris” Rickenbacker 1996, and Kurt Cobain’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” Fender Mustang, expected to sell for $2.5 million to $5 million.
Other notable pieces come from artists like Eric Clapton, Johnny Cash, Jerry Garcia, and Dave Gilmour, along with a handwritten script from Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky.
The auction is described as a “Hall of Fame” showcase of 20th-century pop culture history.
