An Italian Catholic group donated £1,200 in sensory kits to a UK hospital’s ER to help autistic and disabled patients cope with stress.

A £1,200 donation of sensory kits—featuring fidget toys, noise-cancelling headphones, face masks, and activity books—has been made to Harrogate District Hospital’s emergency department by La Buona Notizia, an Italian Catholic group. Inspired by consultant neurologist Dr Rosaria Buccoliero, the kits aim to help individuals with learning disabilities and autism manage stress during hospital visits. Funded through a community fundraiser, the donation was praised by hospital staff for improving patient comfort and supporting inclusive care.
