William Stevenson, 77, former husband of former First Lady Jill Biden, pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges in the death of his wife, Linda Stevenson, 64, found unresponsive at their Wilmington, Delaware home on December 28.
Stevenson, who founded the Stone Balloon music venue, remains in custody without bail after a state grand jury indicted him.
Linda Stevenson, described in her obituary as a family-oriented mother, grandmother, and Philadelphia Eagles fan, ran a bookkeeping business.
Her daughter shared a heartfelt tribute, and Jill Biden’s spokesperson said she has no comment.
Stevenson’s next court date is March 16.
