Two Indiana drivers arrested after 89-mile chase, meth found in vehicle.
A 27-year-old Evansville man and a 25-year-old woman were arrested after a nearly 89-mile high-speed chase on I-69 in Indiana, which began when police observed a blue 2022 Chevrolet Silverado speeding at 83 mph in a 65 mph zone.
The vehicle, driven at over 100 mph at times, evaded law enforcement, discarded substances during the pursuit, and struck a civilian car, though no injuries were reported.
Police deployed stop sticks and used a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle near the 25-mile marker in Gibson County.
A small amount of suspected methamphetamine was found inside the truck.
Both suspects, Geonovan M. Bailey and Tiona E. Monie Sullivan, were charged with multiple Level 6 felony counts, including resisting law enforcement and possession of meth, and taken to Monroe County Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
