Fernando Lucio, 42, of Grand Forks, was charged with attempted murder and multiple felonies after allegedly stabbing a woman multiple times at her apartment on Valentine’s Day. Authorities say he arrived with gifts, returned after getting cough drops, and attacked her in her bedroom, causing non-life-threatening injuries. A child intervened and was bitten. Lucio claimed he “blacked out” and cited mental health issues. He was apprehended nearby and remains under investigation.
