Andhra’s YSRCP accuses TDP government of blocking debate on laddu scandal despite scheduled session, denying involvement and demanding evidence.
YSR Congress Party MLC Bharath accused the TDP-led Andhra Pradesh government of blocking discussions on the Indapur dairy’s alleged link to TTD in the laddu adulteration case, claiming three adjournments prevented debate despite a scheduled private session on February 24 or 25, which was later withdrawn.
He denied YSRCP involvement, offered to prove innocence with evidence, and criticized the government’s shift from attacking TTD’s image to defending it.
Earlier, YSRCP leader Gudivada Amarnath questioned the formation of a new probe committee, noting a Supreme Court-supervised SIT found no animal fat in the laddus but confirmed adulteration with palm oil, palm kernel oil, beta-carotene, acetic acid ester, and artificial flavoring.
The CBI had established the SIT under court orders following allegations of ghee adulteration.
