Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with France’s Port of Marseille Fos to strengthen trade connectivity between India and Europe via the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC).
The agreement, signed during French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit, establishes an IMEC Ports Club to coordinate key ports along the 6,000-kilometer corridor, linking India’s Mundra and Hazira ports to Marseille Fos, Europe’s largest integrated port.
The partnership aims to enhance trade facilitation, port innovation, and energy transition, with a focus on developing a Green Maritime Corridor using sustainable fuels and low-carbon operations.
It supports the India-EU Free Trade Agreement and aims to create a more efficient, resilient, and sustainable trade route.
