A 42-year-old former payroll administrator at Isuzu Motors South Africa, Natasja Slabbert, was arrested on February 16, 2026, in connection with an alleged R10.5 million payroll fraud.
She is accused of manipulating records to transfer about R626,500 to her personal account in August 2024, with discrepancies reported by employees prompting an internal review.
The Hawks and National Prosecuting Authority’s Specialised Commercial Crime Unit investigated, finding false entries used to conceal the fraud.
Slabbert was granted R5,000 bail and is scheduled to return to court on February 24, 2026.
