The Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau launched a major operation across 15 locations in India, including Rajasthan, Bihar, and Jharkhand, targeting a suspected ₹900 crore scam in the Jal Jeevan Mission water scheme. Raids focused on fraudulent tender awards, with officials seizing documents and digital devices. Retired IAS officer Subodh Agarwal and several others were questioned or detained over alleged use of forged experience certificates. The probe, led by ACB top officials and expanding from earlier arrests of a former minister and engineers, aims to trace financial irregularities in the national water initiative. Formal arrests are expected after evidence review.
