The NCLT allowed KJS Ahluwalia’s heirs to transfer over 5.5 million shares in KJS Cement, rejecting challenges to the petition’s validity.
The NCLT in New Delhi has allowed the legal heirs of late industrialist KJS Ahluwalia—his wife and daughter—to have 55,97,768 shares in KJS Cement (I) Limited transferred to them, rejecting objections over petition maintainability.
The tribunal affirmed that heirs can pursue claims under the Companies Act, noting the petitioners collectively hold over 10% of the company’s shares.
While the order grants interim relief, it deferred a full hearing on allegations of mismanagement, forgery, and improper board actions to April 16, 2026.
The company must now facilitate the share transmission upon proper application.
