Despite missing a deadline to appear on the April ballot and ongoing challenges like fan fatigue, Sherman expressed optimism, citing renewed support from Mayor Quinton Lucas and the Chiefs' recent stadium announcement. The current lease at Kauffman Stadium is set to expire, and while the Aspiria campus in Overland Park remains an option, no decision has been made. The Royals' first Spring Training game is scheduled for Feb. 20.
