Dayton police are investigating a two-vehicle crash on August 14, 2025, near 4614 Hoover Avenue, where Nathan Cunningham, 53, was seriously injured. Initially thought to involve one vehicle, new evidence shows a hit-and-run occurred when a first vehicle struck Cunningham before fleeing. A second vehicle, a black 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, then struck him. Authorities are seeking the public’s help to identify the fleeing vehicle and driver, urging tips or video footage to be sent to Detective Chris Metzler at 937-333-1359. The case remains active.
