CSIR-NIIST will transfer multiple technologies to industry partners during a Feb. 18 event in New Delhi, including a low-glycemic, protein- and micronutrient-rich "designer rice" to combat malnutrition and diabetes, to be commercialized by Tata Consumer Products and SS Soul Foods.
Other innovations include plant-based cactus leather, a stable coffee crema process, bio-based coatings, osmotic dehydration for fruit bites, a ready-to-cook vegetable mix using RADD technology, a microbiome composting system, and a low-sodium salt with 86% less sodium.
