Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru shipped over 60 million rose stems, weighing more than 2,700 tonnes, during the 2026 Valentine’s season, serving 26 international and 47 domestic destinations.
This marked a 38% increase in stem volume and a 64% rise in tonnage compared to the previous year.
Key international destinations included Singapore, New York, and London, with new routes to Los Angeles and Toronto.
Domestically, demand surged, especially in Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai, with several cities seeing over 150% growth.
The airport’s expanded cold chain infrastructure, including real-time tracking and temperature control, supported the efficient transport of perishable goods, reinforcing Bengaluru’s role as India’s top hub for high-volume, time-sensitive cargo.
