A 40-story apartment tower proposed for Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley aims to boost housing ahead of the 2032 Olympics.
A 40-storey residential tower with over 350 apartments has been proposed for a 2,416-square-meter site at 70-82 Wickham Street in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, as part of a land sale campaign ending March 19.
The site, currently home to the Metro Central building and the Brisbane Anarchist Communist Federation, is near Centenary Park, schools, and transport links.
Designed by architect Cottee Parker, the project aligns with Brisbane City Council’s plan to allow taller buildings in the area to boost housing ahead of the 2032 Olympics.
The development remains in the planning phase, with no construction approvals yet granted.
