A man was charged after allegedly stabbing a waitress 15 times at a Brisbane club hours after being fired.
A 33-year-old former kitchen hand, Cameron William Leslie Clark, was charged with attempted murder, stalking, and wounding after allegedly stabbing 20-year-old waitress Zoe Samson-Wood 15 times at Brisbane’s Easts Leagues Club on February 12, 2026.
The attack, which occurred hours after Clark was fired for unwanted attention, left Samson-Wood with head and wrist injuries, nerve damage requiring reconstructive surgery, and defensive wounds.
A 61-year-old chef and a 41-year-old woman were also injured while helping subdue Clark, who was overpowered by eight patrons and staff.
Clark, hospitalized with a hand injury, remains in custody and faces additional charges.
The club has reopened, and authorities praised the public’s response.
