Indian qualifier M Sureshkumar, who earned his spot at the last minute, stunned fifth seed Lorenzo Carboni of Italy 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 in the first qualifying round of the ATP Delhi Open 2026.
The 26-year-old from Chennai overcame a slow start, using strong serving and targeting Carboni’s forehand to win in one hour and 53 minutes.
Indian wild card Ramkumar Ramanathan also advanced with a straight-sets victory.
