The five-year initiative will upgrade government medical colleges, super-specialty centres, and primary care facilities with advanced diagnostics, robotic surgery, digital health platforms, and telemedicine networks.
Key upgrades include MRI and CT scanners, simulation labs, AR/VR training, and expanded services like neurosurgery, transplants, and pediatric care.
The project aims to reduce the 9.5 lakh patients who currently travel outside the state annually, cutting treatment costs and improving access to timely, equitable, and climate-resilient care.
