Former Senator Bong Revilla pleaded not guilty in a P92.8M fraud case over a fake flood control project.
The Sandiganbayan entered a not guilty plea on behalf of former senator Bong Revilla in a P92.8 million malversation case tied to a purported flood control project in Pandi, Bulacan, after Revilla declined to plead during his February 16, 2026, arraignment.
The court allowed Revilla and co-accused Jaypee Mendoza to appeal the Ombudsman’s decision to file the case, but proceedings will continue.
The arraignment was delayed from February 9 due to pending appeals.
The court also denied Revilla’s motion to recuse Associate Justice Karl Miranda, rejecting bias claims.
The case involves allegations that the project was never built despite claims of completion and that officials falsified documents to justify disbursements.
