The Cheshire Business Angels network launched on February 11, offering funding and strategic guidance to small businesses in Cheshire and Warrington in exchange for equity. Backed by Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington's Growth Hub, the initiative connects up to 70 high-net-worth investors focused on healthcare, manufacturing, and digital technology. A Dragons’ Den-style event at The Aviary in Alderley Park featured pitches for nearly £2 million, including funding requests from a health company and a graphene start-up. Advisors from Xeinadin Accountants, Gorvins Solicitors, and the British Business Bank provided financial and legal insights. The program supports the region’s 20-year Sustainable and Inclusive Economic Strategy to boost growth and productivity.
