A 20-year-old man from the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation faces multiple charges including drug possession, unauthorized firearm use, assault, dangerous driving, and fleeing police after a series of incidents beginning February 7, when he fled officers after being found asleep in a vehicle and striking one. He was later arrested during a traffic stop on February 9, where officers found bulk ammunition and non-prescribed Oxycodone. A search warrant on February 10 at a Second Line residence uncovered cocaine, methamphetamine, a rifle, ammunition, drug paraphernalia, and cash. He has been remanded and is set to appear in Brantford’s Ontario Court of Justice. Separately, a 55-year-old Brant County man was charged with criminal harassment and mischief under $5,000 in connection with an intimate partner violence incident reported on February 13.
