Vietnam’s government has granted SpaceX a license to operate Starlink satellite internet in the country, allowing fixed and mobile services, radio frequency use, and equipment deployment, according to state media. The Ministry of Science and Technology issued the authorization, following a prior trial approval. The move comes ahead of a potential visit by Vietnam’s leader To Lam to the U.S., amid ongoing trade talks after U.S. tariffs on Vietnamese goods. It remains unclear when Starlink will launch services, and SpaceX has not commented.
