SpaceX launched 24 Starlink satellites on Feb. 14, 2026, lighting up skies over Southern California and successfully landing the rocket's first stage.
On February 14, 2026, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base, carrying 24 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit, creating a dazzling display visible across Southern California.
The launch, visible near Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties, occurred at approximately 6 p.m. and featured a bright trail of light as the rocket ascended.
The first stage landed on the droneship “Of Course I Still Love You” in the Pacific Ocean.
SpaceX confirmed successful satellite deployment, with the satellites forming a visible train in the night sky.
The company plans three more Falcon 9 launches from Vandenberg in February.
