Sarnia artist Jennifer Bain won top prize for her nature-inspired painting *Preservation* in a Sarnia art show.
Sarnia-raised artist Jennifer Bain won first prize in Gallery in the Grove’s Oh My Canada juried exhibition for her painting *Preservation*, an acrylic and ink work depicting a solitary figure walking a dog through snow, inspired by walks along the Thames River.
The piece reflects resilience and Canada’s connection to nature.
The exhibition, featuring 43 works from 90 submissions, ran through March 14 at the Bright’s Grove library in Sarnia, with second and third prizes going to Wilma Mehl and Becky Menzies.
Honorable mentions were awarded to Taryn Henry and Tyler Scott.
The gallery, which supports youth arts through its VALS program and scholarships, is open Monday through Saturday with free admission.
