Aldi's frozen Yorkshire puddings won top UK rating in a blind taste test, beating Aunt Bessie's and proving budget brands can match premium ones in taste and value.

Aldi's own-brand frozen Yorkshire puddings were named the best in the UK by Which?, outperforming Aunt Bessie's in a blind taste test of 74 people. The Specially Selected Large Beef Dripping version scored 73%, praised for its crisp exterior, fluffy interior, and value at £1.99 for 288g. Aunt Bessie's came second with 72%, appreciated for texture but criticized for overpowering herbs. Tesco Finest and Sainsbury's Taste the Difference also scored highly, while Waitrose, Iceland, Lidl, and Morrisons received lower marks. The results show that budget supermarket brands can match or exceed well-known names in taste and value.
