Wisconsin to review deer seasons, sturgeon hunting, and access for disabled hunters; Maryland seeks public input on drone use and trapping rules.
The Wisconsin Natural Resources Board will meet Feb. 25 to review deer seasons and propose rule changes for spring fish and game hearings, including a new sturgeon season, a public vote on cow elk tag restrictions, and expanded hunting access for disabled hunters.
The DNR also seeks input on a $106,000 marsh repair grant and a $325,000 land acquisition at Devil’s Lake State Park.
In Maryland, public comment on proposed hunting and trapping regulations for 2026–2028, including drone use and electronic check-in, closes Feb. 28.
Hunting licenses go on sale July 1, with fees supporting conservation and education.
