Two Texas residents, Jed Wood and Royanna Thomas, were among five people federally indicted in a $220 million cattle fraud scheme tied to Agridime LLC, a Fort Worth-based company.
The scheme, active from January 2021 to December 2023, allegedly defrauded over 2,200 victims by falsely promising returns from cattle investments while diverting funds for personal use, including property purchases.
The other defendants include Joshua and Tia Link of Missouri and Taylor Bang of North Dakota.
Joshua Link remains at large and is wanted by the FBI, which urges the public to report any information about his whereabouts.
All defendants face multiple charges, including wire fraud and money laundering, with potential sentences of up to 20 years per count.
