India launched a new ₹10,000 crore fund in 2026 to boost deep tech and regional startups.
As of December 31, 2025, India’s Startup India initiative has recognized 2.07 lakh startups nationwide, generating 21.9 lakh direct jobs.
The government supports them through three key funding schemes: the Fund of Funds for Startups, which enabled over Rs 25,547 crore in investments; the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme, providing Rs 590.93 crore to seed-stage ventures; and the Credit Guarantee Scheme for Startups, backing 334 loans totaling Rs 808.18 crore.
These efforts have collectively contributed to over 225,000 jobs.
Additional support includes tax benefits, regulatory reforms, and compliance exemptions.
