Trump condemns Herzog's refusal to pardon Netanyahu amid ongoing corruption trials and ICC warrant.
Former U.S. President Donald Trump criticized Israeli President Isaac Herzog for not pardoning Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling the decision "disgraceful" and urging Israelis to pressure Herzog.
Netanyahu, facing corruption charges in three cases, submitted a pardon request in November 2023, which Herzog’s office confirmed is under review by the Justice Ministry.
Herzog stated the decision will be based on legal procedures, national interest, and conscience, free from external influence.
Netanyahu denies all allegations, including receiving gifts and trading favors for media coverage, and his trial has been ongoing since 2020.
He also faces an ICC arrest warrant for alleged war crimes in Gaza, where over 71,000 people have died since October 2023.
Trump condena la negativa de Herzog a indultar a Netanyahu en medio de juicios por corrupción en curso y la orden de la CPI.
