A youth in Palani, Tamil Nadu, was reported after allegedly using the Dhandayudhapani Swamy Temple’s public address system to play a film song by actor-politician Vijay at high volume, sparking controversy. The incident occurred at the temple’s Yaanai Paadhai area when the individual accessed the audio console during a staff absence, connecting his phone to broadcast the music. A viral video of the act led to a police complaint and an FIR under sections 299 and 302 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Authorities are tracing the video’s digital footprint to identify the person and any accomplices, while the temple conducts an internal security review.
